From 12th to 13th May, the "2021 China Foreign Contracting Engineering Industry Development Conference", hosted by the China International Contractors Association, was held in Beijing. At the conference, the list of top 100 foreign contracting enterprises in 2020, top 30 in the business fields of transportation, housing construction and other markets in Asia and Africa was released. Shandong High Speed Group, ranking 25th in the list of foreign contracting enterprises in China, Shandong High Speed Group is the only provincial state-owned enterprise in the list, and was also selected as one of the top 10 in the detailed list of transportation industry and African market.
In recent years, Shandong High Speed Group has taken the policies of building "One Belt and One Road" and creating a new high ground for opening up to the outside world as its guide, actively implemented the decisions and plans of the provincial government, relied on its main business of transportation, and focused on quality and efficiency to enhance its core competitiveness in investment and operation of overseas infrastructure industries and international contracting projects. 31 overseas projects have been selected as national "One Belt, One Road" key projects, and the operating fields have covered more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. In 2020, the Group insisted on grasping both the prevention and control of overseas Covid-19 and production and operation, and efficiently implemented the normal prevention and control of overseas Covid-19, at the same time, the projects under construction advanced in an orderly manner and the market development bore fruit again, including the successful completion of the Chinese Cultural Centre project in Belgrade and the financing closure of the elevated expressway project of Dhaka Airport Expressway in Bangladesh, and steadily advanced the construction process. The Group achieved an annual revenue of RMB 4.714 billion from overseas projects and signed 16 new overseas projects, including the Valjevo Expressway in Serbia, with a total contract value of RMB 2.583 billion, maintaining a healthy and rapid development of its international business.
