A few days ago, a "Qi Lu" China-Europe Railway Express train operated by SDHS arrived in Turkey, marking the opening of the first route connecting Shandong with Middle East through China-Europe Railway Express.
It takes around 20 days for the train carrying 100 freight containers to arrive in Izmit, a harbor city in western Turkey, passing through Khorgos Port in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Caspian Sea successively and creating a new international logistics corridor for strengthening the economic and trade cooperation between Shandong and Middle East countries. It also helps make Shandong the highland of opening-up in China during the implementation of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
