On August 3rd, SDHS’s subsidiaries, China Shandong International Economic & Technical Cooperation Company Ltd in collaboration with Shandong Luqiao Group Co., Ltd won the bid for Budapest(Hungary)-Belgrade(Serbia) Railway Reconstruction and Modernisation project, section Novi Sad-Subotica-the state border, setting a fine example of international cooperation between SDHS’s subordinate companies.
As an important component of the international railway E85, Budapest(Hungary)-Belgrade(Serbia) Railway is double-track electrified standard-gauge railway with total length of 200km. The 55.8km-long section undertaken by SDHS shall be completed within 33 months, costing around USD 248million. The main works shall include reconstruction of railway subgrade, bridges, houses, track-laying, etc. SDHS is committed to improving the regional transportation infrastructure and strengthening Sino-Serbian friendship through execution of this flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative.
