As determined by the assessment conference regarding zero-carbon expressway service area pilot project held on June 17th in Jinan, the Jinan East Expressway Service Area built and operated by SDHS was considered as the first self-neutralized "zero-carbon service area" in China. This service area can reduce carbon emissions by more than 3,400 tons per year, far exceeding the current annual average emission level of 2,000 tons. It has an important demonstration and leading significance in promoting the realization of "carbon peak and carbon neutral" in the transportation field.
