On July 29, the Fortune Global 500 list was officially released. Shandong Hi-speed Group ranked 401st with an operating revenue of $38.82 billion, rising 11 places year-on-year and making the prestigious list for the fourth consecutive year, a testament to its robust and high-quality development momentum.
Despite complex external conditions in 2024, the group posted record financial results: operating revenue reached 279.31 billion yuan (a 7.38 percent year-on-year growth), with total profit and net profit at 17.82 billion yuan and 13.5 billion yuan, respectively, and its asset size leading the domestic highway industry and Shandong's provincial State-owned enterprises.
The group invested 66.27 billion yuan in key infrastructure projects in 2024, opening seven expressways ahead of schedule and breaking ground on four new ones. It built a smart "1+16+N" operation system and 63 intelligent cloud toll stations, expanding its national expressway operating mileage to 9,070 km.
Internationally, it set up a national China-Europe freight train hub and the China-Europe Railway Express Serbia Inđija Assembly Center, expanded into five new markets including Cameroon, and ranked 65th on the ENR's Top 250 International Contractors.
A pioneer in green development and digital transformation, the group was honored as a benchmark enterprise in the SASAC's assessment for the "Double Hundred Enterprises" initiative.
Looking ahead, it will continue to pursue the "Double First-Class" development goal, striving to contribute more to Shandong's modernization drive.
