Recently, Section 1 of the Mascara Link Project in Algeria, built by Road & Bridge Group Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Shandong Hi-Speed Group (SDHS), opened to traffic nearly six months ahead of schedule.
Spanning about 23 kilometers, the project begins near the Sig Interchange of Algeria's East-West Expressway and connects to the National Highway RN17, serving as a key transportation link between Mascara Province and the East-West Expressway.
Meeting European standards, the project is the highest-grade highway in Mascara. Its opening will greatly reduce travel time from Mascara Province to the East-West Expressway, improve travel conditions for local residents, and promote regional economic development.
The successful and early completion highlights SDHS's expertise and brand reliability in international engineering, providing valuable experience for further exploration of the North African market.
Moving forward, SDHS will continue to support the Belt and Road Initiative, advance its international strategy to develop overseas engineering, services, and trade in parallel, enhance the "Shangao · Xing" brand with high-quality projects, and promote the high-quality development of its international business, aiding Shandong in becoming a highland of high-level opening-up.
