On Aug 28, two Shandong China-Europe Railway Express trains operated by Shandong Hi-speed Group achieved a two-way trip at the SCODA Multimodal Transport Center.
One departed with Shandong-made home appliances bound for Russia, while the other arrived from Kazakhstan carrying over 1,600 metric tons of wheat flour, vividly showcasing efficient hub-linkage between domestic and overseas gathering centers and facilitating seamless trade exchanges.
Since 2018, the group has operated over 4,600 trains at the zone, accounting for one third of Shandong's total. It runs 22 regular international routes covering 23 countries and 54 cities involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, with the "SCO Express Line" and "Japan-South Korea Land-Sea Express Line" making over 200 and 390 trips, respectively, as of July.
Leveraging four overseas hubs, it is upgrading infrastructure to build a multimodal transport network, with the China-Europe Railway Express (Jinan-Qingdao) Assembly Center approved in January.
It provides customized services for over 7,000 enterprises, operating 520+ dedicated trains. Innovating the "warehousing-transport-trade" integrated model in July, Shandong China-Europe Railway Express has achieved 27 million yuan in international trade.
Seizing the upcoming 2025 SCO Summit opportunity, it will uphold the Shanghai Spirit to enhance service quality, building the railway into a "golden corridor" for regional trade stability.
