Shandong Hi-Speed Group (SDHS) has signed a memorandum with the Vietnam Railway Engineering Corporation to start a joint venture for railway construction. The agreement was signed on Sept 25 during a high-level trade cooperation conference between Shandong province and Vietnam.
Under the agreement, the two parties will build a modern precast concrete plant of about 40,000 square meters. The facility will manufacture infrastructure components, mainly focusing on Type IIIc sleepers and switch sleepers. The plant will also produce subway sleeper slabs, tunnel lining segments, and other precast concrete parts needed for both railway and highway projects.
This project represents a key step in exporting the group's equipment manufacturing technology and management expertise. It is expected to enhance Vietnam's technical capabilities and production capacity for rail transit infrastructure, creating a solid foundation for Chinese enterprises to engage in Vietnam's growing transportation sector.
In the future, SDHS will use its expertise across the transport infrastructure supply chain. By developing more projects, it is committed to turning its technical strengths into benefits for the local community, contributing to a new chapter of China-Vietnam cooperation.
