The Danube Corridor Expressway project in Serbia, constructed by Shandong Hi-Speed Group (SDHS), has received the Global Project Excellence Award from the International Project Management Association (IPMA).
The project was selected from 153 entries worldwide in a fierce competition. The review committee acknowledged the company's performance in engineering, environmental protection, and social responsibility, with particular praise for its cross-cultural collaboration and technology integration.
As a key part of the European E75 highway, the Danube Corridor Expressway project has been described by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic as the "Road to the Future".
Once completed, the expressway is expected to resolve traffic bottlenecks in eastern Serbia. It will improve local travel, enhance the regional investment environment, and support local economic growth.
