Shandong Hi-Speed Holdings, a subsidiary of Shandong Hi-Speed Group, recently won the Green Design Engineering Award at the 2025 World Green Design Conference in Shanghai.
The company also received the international "Green Design Engineer" certification, and its green energy practices were featured in the new World (China) Green Design Report. This marks significant international recognition for the group's work in sustainable engineering.
The awards highlighted the group's 9.54-megawatt distributed photovoltaic project at Beiliang Port, which reflects the company's "green design" philosophy. By installing a large solar power system at the port, traditional fuels are now replaced by clean solar energy.
The team overcame construction challenges to install solar panels on large port structures. It creatively integrates photovoltaic power generation with port transport, successfully breaking technical barriers and establishing a "zero-carbon" zone. This initiative has facilitated the green transition of industrial architecture and upgraded the energy framework of the port industry.
Looking ahead, the group will continue to apply green design standards throughout the life cycle of its engineering projects to support the industry's low-carbon transition. It aims to deepen international cooperation and focus on improving the environmental efficiency and sustainability of its engineering projects.
