Shandong Hi-Speed Group (SDHS), through its subsidiary China Shandong International Economic & Technical Cooperation Group, recently secured the bid for the Chinatown Qiyuan project in Budapest, Hungary.
This achievement marks SDHS's entry into the European Union construction market, representing a significant milestone in the company's overseas expansion during the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–30).
Located in Budapest, the project covers a construction area of about 52,000 square meters. It aims to establish a premium residential hub for the overseas Chinese community. The design integrates Eastern aesthetics with European architectural styles, shaping a new urban landmark.
Once completed, the project is expected to become a key cultural tourism destination in Budapest. It will facilitate cultural exchanges and economic cooperation between China and Hungary, creating local jobs and supporting regional socio-economic development.
Looking ahead, the group will continue its global expansion by focusing on key international markets. By leveraging its advantages in the transport infrastructure supply chain and maintaining high management standards, SDHS aims to strengthen its local presence and competitiveness in the global high-end market.
