SDHS overseas projects scoop up Intl Safety Awards

Updated: April 17, 2026

Two overseas projects of Shandong Hi-Speed Group (SDHS) have won honors at the 2026 International Safety Award, in recognition of the group's strong performance in safety management.

The project of Novi Beograd Railway Station Complex with Reconstruction of the Bridge in Serbia, undertaken by SDHS's overseas subsidiary, achieved a Distinction, the highest grade. Meanwhile, the Valjevacka Street Underground Car Park Project received a Merit.

The International Safety Awards recognize projects and organizations that demonstrate outstanding practices in health, safety, and employee well-being management. The awards are widely recognized in the global engineering and construction sector for their professional standards and influence.

Both projects, situated in central urban areas of Serbia, encountered complex construction challenges due to multiple disciplines and operations being undertaken at the same time. Project teams adopted standardized site management, enhanced risk prevention strategies, and upgraded health and safety systems to ensure the smooth progress of the construction work.

The awards highlight the international recognition of SDHS's safety management practices in overseas projects. SDHS will continue to enhance its overseas project delivery capabilities and support the high-quality development of its international business.
