Mirsad Nurkovic, vice-president of the Parliament of Montenegro, led a delegation to visit Shandong Hi-Speed Group (SDHS) on May 26.
Zhou Hongwen, general manager of SDHS, welcomed the delegation and introduced SDHS's domestic and international operations. He said the company has expanded its presence in Central and Eastern Europe in recent years.
Zhou also highlighted the company's work on the restoration of the Tara River Bridge in Montenegro. The project resumed construction in April and is intended to improve regional connectivity while preserving a landmark associated with China-Montenegro cooperation.
He expressed hope that the two sides would coordinate their respective development needs and further explore cooperation in transport infrastructure, intelligent transportation, and integrated urban development.
During the visit, the delegation toured SDHS's corporate exhibition hall and learned about its infrastructure and smart transport operations, as well as major projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
Nurkovic praised SDHS for its expertise in infrastructure investment, construction, operations, and intelligent transportation. He expressed Montenegro's interest in strengthening practical collaboration with the company in transport infrastructure and related sectors.
